chosen as the location for Convention 2009. We hope to see you
there as we celebrate 25 years of Phi Sigma Rho!

Phi Rho Silver Jubilee: Celebrating 25
years of women who know no bounds!
Classic 25th anniversary theme & it refers to Rashmi's quote:
"No matter how crazy an idea, or how difficult a task the only
bounds put on our abilities are those set by ourselves. It
doesn't take an extraordinary person to found a sorority or
succeed in any endeavor. It just takes confidence in yourself
and a never dying need to strive for better. I would like to be
able to look at Phi Sigma Rho and see a group of women who know
no bounds. Women who are proud of their accomplishments and are
proud of the people that they have become. And I would like to
believe that Phi Sigma Rho had some part in this achievement."
1920's: The ROARING 25th
In the 1920's, a new breed of young women, known as
"flappers", rose to challenge their place in society. The
Roaring 25th would be a fitting theme for the convention,
because as a woman today we are constantly challenging our place
and working to improve society. We can focus on building the
future together by breaking the stereotype of women. The dress
of the flappers can be incorporated into Phi Rho with the wine
red and silver colors and the pearls and seen in the photos. As
Margaret Sanger stated in 1925, 'Today women are on the whole
much more individual. They possess as strong likes and dislikes
as men. They live more and more on the plane of social equality
with men…[and] there is more enjoyable companionship and real
friendship between men and women.
Black & Silver Penguin Convention: It's
our time to shine - Our Silver Anniversary of Sisterhood
The Phi Rho mascot -- the penguin -- is black, and silver is
the symbol for 25th anniversaries.
Toasting 25 Years: A Wine Red Toast to our
Silver Anniversary

Sorority colors
