Dr. Lara Day became a Phi Sigma Rho member of the Delta Class at Purdue University in the spring of 1987. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue in 1991. After working as a town engineer for Wake Forest, NC, she decided to change careers to Veterinary Medicine. Lara graduated Cum Laude from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. She is credentialed in Pain Management by the AAPM, an honor earned by less than 50 veterinarians in the US. She now runs the Integrative Medicine service at LVSES in Louisville, KY offering a combination of novel and ancient therapies for companion animals with chronic pain.

Lara’s leadership experience within Phi Sigma Rho includes:

  • National Convention Committee Member (2006-2007)

  • Regional Field Director – Alpha Chapter (2007–2008)

  • LEAP Committee Member (2007-2008)
