Fall 2009 Merit Scholarship Winner The Phi Sigma Rho Foundation would like to announce the Fall 2009 Merit Scholarship is awarded to Stephanie Cappiello of the UCLA-Nu Chapter. Stephanie has graduated Magna Cum Laude this June with a 3.8 GPA while majoring in Biochemistry. She will be attending UCLA School of Dentistry beginning this Fall. During her tenure as Nu Chapter president she was instrumental in the decision for the chapter to join the UCLA Pan-Hellenic Council. In addition, she assisted a childhood friend to start the colony at the now Chi chapter of UCSD. Stephanie has performed many acts of community service both around UCLA and the world. She participates in Relay for Life, raises money for the American Cancer Society, tutors local students, volunteers at local hospitals and has been on two medical missions to Central America. As Chloe Rivera wrote in her alumni recommendation, Stephanie “is the quintessential sister and a superior candidate for this scholarship.”
