"I chose Phi Rho because I wanted to be surrounded by an uplifting and caring group of girls that valued having long lasting friendships. I feel so at home in Phi Rho because these girls are so empathetic and understand the challenges engineering throws at us, not only being in a male-dominated field, but also being academically challenging. My favorite memory in Phi Rho is the week of finals when I got pied. I enjoyed being able to give people a laugh as well as allow people to relieve some stress right before finals. Phi Rho has become a second home for me, not only by giving me a wonderful family to be a part of, but also by helping me excel professionally and academically."

“When I went to my first Phi Rho recruitment event, I knew I was where I was supposed to be. I was very shy as a freshman but everyone was so welcoming and it felt so natural. I was never big on the idea of joining a sorority because of the time commitment, but Phi Rho really allowed me to balance school and social life. My favorite memory was planning and attending retreat in the Fall of 2024. We stayed in a little lake house for the weekend and I had the most amazing time with my sisters.“

“Even before joining Phi Rho I have loved participating in service. My family and I would regularly volunteer at our local animal shelter, and I love to volunteer at the Cleveland food bank back home. This past fall I helped to start up our first ever LLS week fundraiser for Phi Rho Cincy. With this fundraiser we raised about $800 in a week for the Leukemia Lymphoma society and also helped to educate others in our community about the impact an event such as Light the Night can have for others.”

Throughout her time with Phi Sigma Rho, she organized an event to assemble feminine hygiene care kits for a homeless shelter. She also is one of the coordinators for "Love in Every Stitch": a clothing drive in which the donations will go to benefit victims of California wildfires/flood survivors in Tennessee."

Her dedication to service began at age 10 when she started volunteering with the Special Olympics as a partner on their basketball team. She engaged with community service at the University of Alabama before even starting classes and continued her involvement by becoming an assistant team lead with Serving Bama at the Center for Service and Leadership. She enjoys service because it helps her engage with the community around her in a meaningful way. She loves being able to give back and support great causes with her Phi Rho sisters!”
